Church’s are inviting you to ‘The Audition’, a short film premiering at 16:45 GMT Friday 19th February to showcase their women’s Autumn / Winter 2021 collection at the newly virtual London Fashion Week.
Set in an ornate theatre, the film follows a group of aspiring actors all vying for the lead role in a modern Shakespearian tale: “To be or not to be” … a contemporary interpretation of one of the English playwright’s most revered works.
In this theatrical setting, the new Church’s collection has a contemporary aesthetic. As with the men’s Autumn / Winter 2021 offering, the women’s collection is enriched with the on-trend square toe design as found on the new Ginny boot. Chunky yet lightweight soles give a structure and design to more classic shapes, such as the Shannon T and the new Gwen and Nira ankle boots. Finally, the collection is completed with the new Shannon Bubble style. This striking reinterpretation of Church’s iconic shoe is covered entirely with oversized studs in tonal black or a classic silver iteration.
A new design detail for the season is the use of white soles, creating a bold and standout statement. In contrast to this bright hue, classic black and rich bolt green have been used across the collection, as well as injections of warm burnt tones.
Though London Fashion Week is very different this year, the exceptional standard of work is not. Church’s have adapted to, and subsequently triumphed under, our current restrictions by creating this fabulous short film, so you can be on the front row of LFW from your home.
