Until 31 January 2027
As autumn settles over London, the Royal Academy offers a welcome escape to sunnier shores with Painting the French Riviera, an exhibition celebrating the extraordinary light, colour and creativity of the Mediterranean coast.
Bringing together more than 160 works, including paintings, sculpture, travel posters and film, the exhibition traces the region’s artistic influence from the 1870s to the 1960s. From Cézanne and Renoir to Matisse, Picasso and Klein, it explores how the Riviera inspired generations of artists, as well as the worlds of literature, cinema and fashion.
A colourful invitation to linger a little longer in Piccadilly this autumn.
