Celebrating Afternoon Tea Week

As we tip our hat to Afternoon Tea Week, it’s only right to showcase the best of the best Afternoon Tea in London, if not the world.

Afternoon Tea at The Ritz has stood the test of time since the hotel first opened its doors in 1906, 116 years ago, because it provides an unforgettable experience that guests are fully immersed in. This includes the spectacular décor of the hotel’s original ballroom with its gilded details, glittering chandeliers, charming murals; the extensive selection of 18-different types of loose-leaf teas available; the classic Afternoon Tea menu lovingly prepared in-house by the Chefs; and the final ingredient which is the elegant musical accompaniment from the resident pianist or harpist (who never cease to delight with renditions of classical favourites). Additionally, The Ritz are the only hotel in London to have a certified Tea Master, Giandomenico Scanu, who travels around the world to various tea plantations to source their wonderful teas. The menu is updated seasonally yet always remains quintessentially British in celebration of the fine tradition.
