As many of you will already know, Westminster City Council and The Crown Estate are continuing to develop public realm proposals for Regent Street, Haymarket and Piccadilly Circus, including connections into St James’s.
Their shared ambition is to create greener, safer and more welcoming streets and public spaces for those who live, work and visit the area.
I am attending stakeholder meetings and engaging with both organisations on behalf of the JSA, ensuring that the needs of Jermyn Street businesses are represented as the proposals evolve. For our members, key considerations include customer access, deliveries and servicing, and the potential impact of changes to traffic routes on Jermyn Street and neighbouring streets.
The project remains at the consultation and design stage, and we are awaiting the latest outline before sharing more detailed information. I will continue to keep members informed through our communications.
In the meantime, I would welcome your feedback, questions or concerns, particularly any practical implications for your business.
If you would like further information or wish to engage directly with Westminster City Council and The Crown Estate, please contact me so I can coordinate an introduction and ensure your views form part of the JSA’s ongoing discussions.
