16 April – 23 May

This spring, Jermyn Street Theatre presents The Waves, a new adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s extraordinary and deeply moving masterpiece, running from 16 April to 23 May 2026.

Tender, poetic and emotionally charged, The Waves follows the lives of six characters — Rhoda, Bernard, Susan, Neville, Jinny and Louis — as they move from childhood into adulthood, through friendship, change, joy, grief and the passing of time. Beginning by the coast and unfolding across the seasons of life, it is a story of identity, connection and what it means to grow up together.

Bringing Woolf’s work vividly to life are two major emerging talents: Flora Wilson Brown (The Beautiful Future is Coming) and Júlia Levai (Radiant Boy), in a production that promises to be both intimate and exhilarating.

A bold and beautiful addition to the Jermyn Street Theatre programme, The Waves offers audiences the chance to experience one of the great literary works of the twentieth century in an exciting new theatrical form.
